    Medical Director

    Matt T. Rosenberg, MD, is the medical director of Mid-Michigan Health Centers and is on staff at Allegiance Health (both located in Jackson) where he served as the chief of the Department of Family Medicine from 2003–2006. Dr Rosenberg has a special interest in the medical management of urologic diseases. He has authored/coauthored articles published in peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Clinical Practice, Journal of Urology, and Urology. He is the section editor of urology for the International Journal of Clinical Practice, a reviewer for various national and international journals, and is the coordinator of primary care education for the American Urological Association Office of Education. He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine.

    Scott A. MacDiarmid, MD, FRCPSC

    Clinical Associate Professor

    Scott A. MacDiarmid, MD, is director of the Alliance Urology Specialists Bladder Control and Pelvic Pain Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is a clinical professor in the Department of Urology, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr MacDiarmid’s clinical, educational and academic expertise is in male and female voiding dysfunction, neurogenic bladder, and complex lower urinary tract and pelvic floor reconstruction. He has authored or co-authored numerous books, book chapters and journal articles, and is recognized nationwide as a leader in his field. He completed fellowships in reconstructive urology and urodynamics at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, the University of Otago in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the University of Sheffield in England.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
  • Combine information from clinical findings, questionnaires, and diaries to confirm a diagnosis of OAB, BPH alone, or OAB and BPH in combination in men presenting with LUTS
  • Incorporate the recent AUA 2019 guidelines for the management of OAB and EAU 2020 guidelines for the management of male LUTS
  • Describe current and emerging approaches for the individualized management of BPH and OAB symptoms in men

The intended audience for this activity program are primary care providers, family physicians, internists, urologists, medical fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other HCPs involved in the management of patients with LUTS.

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION
